  • Login.gov

    When you’re ready to create your secure Login.gov account, you’ll need to provide a few pieces of information:
    1. Email address
    • A personal email address that you’ll always be able to access rather than a work email address.
    • If you use an email address that is already associated with a Login.gov account, they’ll email instructions on how you can reset your password and regain access to your account.
    2. Secure password
    • Passwords must be at least 12 characters and should not include commonly used words or phrases.
    3. One or more authentication methods such as:
    • More secure
      • Face or touch unlock
      • Security key
      • Federal government employee or military identification (PIV/CAC)
    • Less secure
      • Authentication application
      • Text/voice message
      • Backup codes

    Although the Navy's SBIR and STTR programs are a component of the overall Department of Defense (DoD) SBIR/STTR program, the Navy's program is targeted at addressing the needs and areas of interest to the Navy and its System Commands (SYSCOMS).

    On a schedule coordinated by DoD, the Navy issues SBIR Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) or "announcements" (formerly called solicitations), usually 3 per year, that contain a series of "Technical Topics" that describe the areas of interest and needs of the Navy and its SYSCOMS. Small businesses are invited to submit proposals targeted at one or more of the technical topics listed in the announcement. The STTR program works in the same manner, but has only 2 announcements per year.

                      NASA SBIR/STTR Sample Proposal and Contract Deliverables

                      The NASA SBIR/STTR Firm Library contains templates and samples of all potential proposal and contract deliverables for Phase I and Phase II. This library should be utilized by the Firms to aid in the preparation of their deliverables. Firms must submit their deliverables via the Electronic Handbooks (EHBs).
