SBIR/STTR Extension News from the Small Business Technology Coalition (SBTC) and the National Small Business Association (NSBA)
After months of negotiations between the 6 corners, Congress released and began distributing language for its SBIR reauthorization bill this morning. The bill and section-by-section summary are linked below. The legislation, if passed, would extend SBIR by 3 years, until September 30, 2025. In addition, it makes several changes, most of which have to do with research security to protect SBIR from adversarial countries, and increased standards for multiple award winners.
The next step will be to get the bill passed in the 10 days before SBIR expires.
