National Institutes of Health (NIH) SBIR/STTR Overview

Participants will learn how the NIH SBIR and STTR programs support early-stage research and development with commercial potential. This session will cover the purpose of America’s Seed Fund, differences between SBIR and STTR, applicant eligibility, NIH Institutes and Centers, funding opportunities, submission timelines, review criteria, registrations, and common proposal pitfalls. The session will also help companies assess whether NIH is the right agency fit for their technology and stage of development. This session will also cover the required electronic registrations to apply for funding.
