Specific Aims and Research Strategy

A central focus of the cohort is helping companies translate their innovation into a clear, fundable research plan. Participants will learn how to frame the problem, define the unmet need, explain the significance of the technology, and develop strong Specific Aims. The cohort will also address the NIH Research Strategy, including Significance, Innovation, and Approach. Participants will explore how to present technical feasibility, experimental design, milestones, risks, alternatives, and expected outcomes in a way that aligns with NIH reviewer expectations.
