The NASA tuned-damper design has a novel slider mass and flywheel concept that enables approximately an order of magnitude more effectiveness for the same size and weight; or the same effectiveness for an order of magnitude decrease in weight. The damper can be manually tuned or remotely tuned to adjust effectiveness. The damper can be made small enough for use in wind-tunnel tests or scaled to large sizes like those used in helicopters\, wind turbines\, or skyscrapers. NASA is seeking licensees to take this technology to market.[/vc_column_text]\n Register Here\n [/vc_column][/vc_row]

We’ll start with an overview of how to do business with the state. Then we’ll get into the details: how to use the Small Business Certification Portal to apply for certification; what kind of marketing you should be doing to gain the interest of government buyers; we’ll explain the bidding/request for proposal process and the parts of a contract; and we’ll talk about how agencies can use procurement tools to work directly with certified small businesses without going through a competitive process. Throughout the morning you’ll have a chance to network with resource partners and other small business owners. \nhttps://mn.gov/admin/business/vendor-info/apexaccelerator/[/vc_column_text]\n Register for Session\n [/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:APEX Accelerator - Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Pricing Series (Part 1)
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″]APEX Accelerator[vc_column_text text_style=”leader-text”]Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Pricing Series (Part 1)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″]\n	\n \n\n\n \n	\n\n[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Elements of an Adequate Proposal and Indirect Costs and Rates. \nProposals are contractor prepared packages made in response to government solicitations and include the contractor’s budgeted costs for the projected period of performance of the solicitation. Experts from DCAA will discuss the requirements of these proposal packages set forth in FAR Part 15 and DFARS 252.215-7009. The training will walk participants through proposal cost elements\, including direct labor\, material\, subcontracts\, ODCs\, and indirect rates. The DCAA will also discuss how the agency determines the adequacy of your proposal submission. Additionally\, the DCAA will provide examples of budgeting practices using historical data considerations\, examples of adequacy non-compliances\, and regulatory resources to assist with proposal development. Not sure how to build your indirect rates? Experts from DCAA will define direct versus indirect costs\, what general indirect rate structures look like\, and the relationship between indirect pools and bases. Additionally\, the DCAA will discuss the life cycle of indirect rates\, then build example indirect rates using the four-step method in allocating indirect costs to Government Contracts. \nhttps://mn.gov/admin/business/vendor-info/apexaccelerator/[/vc_column_text]\n Register for Session\n [/vc_column][/vc_row]
